I have been cultivating these values throughout my career, and they are the steady undercurrent of everything I do for my clients. Each is as important as the next, and I keep all of them in mind at work and in life.

Core values guide all decisions and services.
Respectful Compassion
All people will be treated with respect regardless of age, disability/diagnosis, or outward behavior. True informed consent will be obtained prior to any service, and all services will only be performed within the specific client’s comfort, culture, and ability. It is understood that each person’s experience is difficult in different ways, and each individual will be approached with kindness and acceptance. Competence is assumed, always.
Psychological Flexibility
Adaptability, new learning, and outside perspectives are welcomed at MBC. Practices regularly change as new information is available, both on a large scale within the mental and behavioral health worlds and with individual clients. Feedback is sought out, considered carefully, and applied appropriately. We believe that lifelong growth is integral to health, happiness, and doing good in the world.
Integrity and Ethics
Operating consistently in line with our values and ethically across all services means always acting in the best interest of our clients. The focus will always be on the client’s overall health and wellbeing first, and teaching or behavior change second. The “rules” of science and business needs will never be put ahead of a client’s wishes or welfare, and we strive to be trustworthy, reliable, and dependable.
Evidenced Excellence
Evidenced-based practices, individual data-collection measures, and data-driven services will show a high rate of excellence in client care and success. Scientifically researched tools, strategies, and methods will be used in conjunction with client preferences and tracked continuously. We utilize a wide range of ABA and ACT interventions aimed at well-rounded treatment, not just to satisfy rules or regulations.
“Consumers of psychological change advice should demand broadly useful methods of change that work, and that do so through change processes that have precision, scope, and depth.”
Steven Hayes
